Digital Art (10053) .5 credit

Grades: 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: 2-D Art, Drawing

Students will use computers to create fine art, using software such as Adobe Photoshop and iPad apps. Students will use cameras, scanners, and the internet to create photo collages and selfportraits. Also, students will create pencil drawings and scan them as the basis of creating digital paintings and illustrations. A USB/Flash drive is needed to back-up and save student project files. A stylus is helpful

Digital Art 2 (10054) **NEW** .5 credit

Grades: 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Drawing, Digital Art

Students will continue to develop their technical & artistic skills using drawing & painting software such as Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, as well as apps on the iPad. Students will also explore art making, which combines traditional drawing & painting media with digital work. Hand drawn computer animation techniques will be explored as well. A USB/Flash drive is needed to back-up and have student project files and a stylus is needed for drawing on the iPad. Note: Students considering taking AP 2-D Design would benefit from taking this course as projects could also be used toward the AP Portfolio.

Introduction To Graphic Art (I3002) .5 credit

Grades: 9,10,11,12
Prerequisite: 2-D Art

This is an intro level design class for students interested in commercial art. Students will build on their understanding of art & design by applying basic graphic design theory to projects using computer software such as Adobe Photoshop. Projects are intended to simulate real world design problems, such as branding/logo development, product & package design, advertisements, page layout, album art, etc. A USB/Flash drive is needed to back-up and save student project files.

Fee: $5.00 for materials.
